Grace Miller Elementary Craft Fair December 6, 2014

School craft fairs always go nicely for us and this was no exception! There was a lot of foot traffic and our table was full of products. We got a hallway spot but it was off the main entrance so the exposure was fine.

All the kids AND adults loved Sam’s clay video game and cartoon/anime characters. They each had something to say about how talented she is to make such detailed, small stuff.

I had a lot of cork things leftover from previous shows and I dropped a lot of it a few bucks and it sold fast.

So from the experience of our first year on the craft fair circuit, next year we will lean towards the local, free and schools. Until then, we have new items for my recycletime etsy shop, Sam’s SamGazaam etsy shop and the store on this site!

Paws and Whiskers craft fair November 15, 2014

We had fun watching all the 4-legged friends go by and saying hi at this one. Sam has a system down and was setup in 10 minutes but it took me every bit of 30 minutes to put all my stuff out. She has her polymer clay creations and earrings and new crochet head warmers, purses and scarf’s.

Just signed up for one more in December and will post as soon as I get confirmation on that.

Handmade Harvest Craft Fair – October 4, 2014

This was one of the bigger ones we’ve done. We were inside near the center so we saw lots of foot traffic. Sam sold earrings, ornaments, the Wooper and more! She’s also ramped up the crocheting and sold one of her new head bands.

Sam and everyone encouraging me to add more products really helped! Had a table full of different stuff besides wine caddys and balancers. Some new things are RAM keychains, cork magnets, cork pumpkin/trivet and some birch coasters.

Sam is adding more crochet and felt stuff and I hope to add more cork items. I’m going to try a Christmas tree and need to think of something for Thanksgiving too. We’re working every evening to get more products made for this weekend.

The Whole Shebang! was a mix of homemade, resale and food booths. We HAD to get Kettle Corn and it was delicious! Sam found a very nice head wrap thingy which gave her an idea to crochet and she’s made 3 custom ones already I think!

We had a nice outside spot and the canopy kept the hot sun off us most all day.

Sam has been rockin the clay and made an awesome freehand dragon and started some cool new projects using objects in resin in a small bottle. I added paracord bracelets and cork stuff to my products.

Stafford Lakes Community Craft Fair – September 21, 2014

Well it has been a while but we are back on the circuit! Sam has found and signed up for a month of craft fairs and we already did the first one.

Stafford Lakes held a craft fair at their community center and we got a nice spot on the grass, under a tree near the front door!

Notice a few additions to the gear!? Sam found the perfect table cloth and color she loves. I found a 6ft center folding table with a handle at Big Lots for $42 which was literally half the big box store price for basically the same thing. Last minute, picked up a dolly that works horizontal or vertical that worked great stacking everything and rolling to the spot instead of multiple trips carrying.

We had a picture frame around so I cut angled slots in a 1×3, rounded the ends and stained them dark to match the frame then cut some 1/2″ luan strips and screwed them into the frame to hang and display earrings. Also did a simple, I think 4″, hanger from luan and cut some smaller legs from the 1×3 but left natural on that one. Sam found those sweet chalk board signs for her prices!

Awesome and Successful Craft Fair Day!

Another fun, successful time out at a craft fair. It was a perfect day, except for a little wind in the morning that blew a lot of lighter displays over. Good thing for us, our things were heavy enough to not be up-ended.

My parents came down and hung out for the whole show! We all had a great time hanging out and seeing all the great stuff at the booths.

Once again, my daughter had a lot of fans. Her polymer clay creation customers ranged from kids to adults liking everything from mermaids to pokeball and donut earrings to all the animals she makes.
